How do I purchase your artworks?

Get in touch and let us know what artwork needs to be yours and we will put it aside for you. You can view and buy it at the gallery in Matua, or we can arrange national shipping. Delivery is free to Tauranga, Mount Maunganui and Pāpāmoa.

Where can we see your art in person?

The Isaac Weston Art Gallery is at 10 Sunny Bay Road, Matua, and the sculpture garden runs down to the estuary behind it. Viewings are by appointment:

Monday to Friday 10am–5pm and Saturday 10am–2pm, with other times by arrangement.

 

What's available now?

Our Indoor artworks page shows what artworks are available now to view in person. Everything here exists, and there is only one of each. No editions, no reprints, no second attempt that comes out the same.

Outdoor art - our range of copper Kina and outdoor sculptures sell quickly and no two are exactly the same. We can send you images of our current stock on hand to choose from, or you can request a commission piece.

Are the colours on your copper artworks painted?

The vivid colours synonymous with my distinctive artworks aren’t painted, they’re created naturally through the reaction of copper with salts, acids and sunshine, forming a unique patina on the surface.

Because every piece of copper reacts differently, the resulting colours and patterns can never be precisely predicted or replicated. We’re unable to colour-match artworks, and that’s part of the magic. Every piece is truly one of a kind.

Do you do commissions?

Yes, and they go to the front of my list. Get in touch and we’ll talk through ideas and options. One thing to note before we start: patina is an organic process, and the colours that emerge are always one of a kind, an essential part of the work’s character. Commissions must align with the style and aesthetic of my existing work.

If you see an artwork in the gallery and fall in love with its colours, that’s the one for you.

How do I look after my outdoor artwork/sculpture? 

Your outdoor artwork will gently transform over time, with exposure to the elements.  Steel will form a natural rusted finish, while copper may develop a soft patina along the edges or in organic patterns, creating a look that is uniquely yours. We use marine grade polyurethane on our outdoor artworks. Garden sculptures, copper pots and steel mount rounds displayed in an "all day sun" position may be given a coat of polyurethane after 1-2 years, or be left to age/weather naturally.

How do I look after my indoor artwork?

No maintenance is required if your indoor artwork is kept indoors. Please note that indoor art is designed for indoors only and not suitable for outdoors. View our outdoor art page for works suitable for outdoors.

Can you deliver?

We offer free local delivery. For customers outside of Tauranga, we can ship nationally via Mainfreight or Aramex. Please provide your address when making contact and we can provide a shipping quote.

Is it possible to see what the artwork will look like on my wall before purchasing?

Yes, and it costs nothing. Send a clear, bright photo of your wall and tell us which work you’re considering. We will superimpose it to scale and send it back so you can see exactly how it sits. See bottom page for an example. For a low-tech version cut a piece of cardboard to the size of the work and hang that up for a few days.

Do you do installation of your indoor/outdoor artworks?

Free local delivery, and national shipping via Mainfreight or Aramex, so send your address and we’ll quote it. Installation is available in Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, Pāpāmoa and Ōmokoroa.

Can you create your wall art in different sizes?

Usually, yes. Get in touch and tell me what the space needs.

Do you offer gift vouchers?

Yes. Any value, emailed to you, valid for six months on all current works.
